TECH talks

TECH talks are 3-day professional learning opportunities focused on specific themes of educational technology. Each month will have its own theme, and the Tech Talk for the month will repeat at various locations around the district for your convenience. You are welcome to attend one, two, or all three workshops, which follow the Into-Through-Beyond framework.

  • Into: On Mondays, the iCenter will be available for two hours (2:30 – 4:30) to explore and discuss resources aligned with the theme for the month. You are welcome to arrive at any time and stay as long as you like within this time frame.
  • Through: On Tuesdays, the iCenter will lead a structured 1-hour training (3:45 – 4:45) focused on some of the resources from Monday.
  • Beyond: On Wednesdays, the iCenter will be available for two hours (2:30 – 4:30) to help you plan lessons and create products that you can use in your classroom immediately.

  • September: Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship is all about the way we behave and interact digitally. It can be summed up with the same three rules we follow in the classroom: be safe, be respectful, be responsible. But what does that look like in the classroom? Participate in this month’s TECH talks to learn new strategies and create engaging resources to use with your students.
